What do you suggest should go into the introduction?

Tuff question. The problem is getting the essence of Cybertown. For ten years people have been coming to the site, chatting , playing, sharing their lives with each other. They have got up to some extrodinary things in that time but in some ways it was the very ordinary things that mattered most.

Cybertown, for ten years people have been coming to the site. Hours spent chatting , playing, sharing their lives with each other. They have done some extraodinary things in that time creating a "Cybertown, a 3D VR (virtual reality) community, was built in the latter half of the 21st century and is located in the Omega Quadrant not too far from the galaxy known as the Milky Way. Yet, in some ways, it has been the very ordinary things that mattered the most.Sounds like a pretty good start to me! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Welcome Fav. :) I think for this site much of what we do should be introductions with links. Depending on URLS found we can let a bunch of people tell the story without having to recreate it.Next up should be the early days which began with pointworld I think. Then Colony City, then the first three colonies of Cybertown. At the same time I'll contact Hawk and see what we might gather on the founders. jdb Do you find this valuable? |

Would be interesting to know more about the Founders as I think quite a lot of people are unaware exactly the story and also with what Cybertown was prior to it being Cybertown. So maybe a history overview in the intro, since this is a history wiki!

While skimming through the Pointworld hood history site I noticed that they had information about how the 3d chat technology was created. I guess we should have a note on that.

I'm exchanging daily emails with hawk. All of our contributors here are designated writers and I hope you will all contribute. I'm still puzzling out the other wiki that will add lots of detail. Each section needs an introduction here. I hope all of you are gathering information. I suggest each of you add something or start a thread :)
